TELESCOPIC LIP DOCK LEVELLER

Electrohydraulic dock leveller with telescopic lip, strong and lasting, it allows to load the vehicles in the most safe system, for all the problematic cases, mobile cages, containers etc.. Pit height of only 550 mm. Installation with simple accessories in a traditional pit. Continuous head hinging, ant-wind.

The dock leveler, connected to a vehicle truck-bed is “an inert bridge” that follows the vertical movements of the vehicle during the loading. The leveller in rest position has a safe support and in this position it can be crossed at full load.
The functioning cycle of the Telescopic Lip Dock Leveller is granted by a command with two double buttons, “dead man”, with the following operations:

“lift” button kept depressed: lifting of the leveller
when the leveller is above the truck bed the button is released and the leveller stops
depressing “forward” the telescopic lip forwards. Releasing the button, the lip stops and the leveller gently descents until connection to the truck bed. NOTE: the forwarding of the lip can be adjusted depressing the button “forward” or “retract”, that move the lip blocking the lowering of the leveller
the loading is to be made
for the return to rest position – to be made before the lorry departs – depress the button “lift” and release it when the leveller is about 50 – 100 mm above the truck bed, and in all cases above the dock level
depress “retract” until the lip is completely in. Release the button and the leveller gently lowers until its rest position
NOTE: an optional “automatic return to rest position” command is available

Connectable difference of level

Maximum slope of 12,5% as per EN 1398 Norm (ant slippery slope). The fork lift trucks normally overtake 8% slope, the handpallets 4%, so reduce the slope to work better.
Maximum lift above dock, about 640 mm (for opening the lip)
Maximum lowering below dock level about 300 mm
Torsionality, adapting to the side inclination of the vehicles of 3% as per EN 1398

Of almond steel, high resistance, 12 + 2 mm at the contact with the truck bed, 6+2 mm at the inside side, tapered at the extremity front rim
Length 500 mm or 1000 mm, endless adjustment
Width 2000 mm in single piece for levellers 2000 wide
Width 2200 mm in three pieces (130+1930+130) for levellers 2200 wide
PLATFORM

Of almond steel 6 + 2 mm ant-slippery and self-draining.
Supported by support beams of high tensile steel in the sense of length
Head hinge continuous for the whole width, ant-wind, with rounded connection in all slopes, without risk of harming the truck wheels.
FINISHING

Leveller grey RAL 7005 colour, lip grey RAL 7005 colour. Two coats of epoxy-paint two components, oven dried. The catalyzed paint is the most resisting to the fork lift transit.

INSTALLATION

The installation of the leveller is made with simple welding (to be made from the outside of the leveller) of the three head hinges, of the front bar, and expansion bolts for the cylinder flange on the base of the pit. Pit as per indications on the dedicated Technical Sheet.

For levellers 2000 mm wide, option of 2 side automatic flaps, 180 mm wide both side, for the connection of reduced truckbeds)
Option of 2 lift-cilinders (that requires a higher pit, see drawings).
Option side ant-wind seals
Dock levellers built in conformity to the product Norm EN 1398.
Complete with CE marking

In conformity to the provisions of the Norm EN 1398 the levellers have:

  • automatic safety valve on the descent of the levellers, in case of accidental departure of the vehicle
  • blocking electro valve commanded by the door switch
  • foot guards both sides
  • maximum pressure valve
  • ant-slippery and self-draining surface almond sheet
  • minimum 25 mm horizontal or vertical between lip and rest bar
  • positive blocking system for maintenance
  • and-wind head hinge, smooth in all the inclinations
The standard nominal load of the dock levellers is of 6.000 kg (10.000 kg uniformly distributed, but this is not the scope of the dock levellers), optional 9.000 kg (15.000 kg uniformly distributed)
